Wahoo! Can’t wait for my next JetBlue flight to have an Athletic Brewing Company “Upside Dawn” golden brew. Awesome to see this company getting more traction and to see the FIRST non-alcoholic beer on a major US airline. CHEERS!!!! 🍻

I started drinking Athletic Brewing beers after a back injury in 2021. I cut out alcohol to aide my healing process and decrease inflammation, as I was experiencing a lot of pain & numbness in my right leg. I then continued while taking anti-depressant medication & moving through depression. Alcohol was a trigger for my mental health challenges and it was best to drop the booze for a period of time.

Now, I am free to enjoy alcohol again (woo, healing!), but I often grab an Athletic Brewing Beer instead because being & feeling healthy is non-negotiable for me. I love the taste of a beer, but don’t need the side effects that come with it. I’m also honed in on my physical health as I train for my first triathlon & MORE. I’ve always loved the ocean. Traveling from Massachusetts to New York via ferry is a peaceful reprieve from the traffic that usually comes on 84 & through NYC. I love the route from New London to Orient Point, usually in the day time to breathe the salty air on the deck & enjoy the journey.

// Putting a lid on this week 🤣 went to my first hill workout with @novemberprojectbos this morning and scored a free @brooksrunning hat!!! It’s a little big for my tiny head (with a big brain of course haha) bc I literally buy CHILD SIZED HATS but I’m stoked nonetheless.

There are so many ways to explore movement and I’m so grateful to have many communities and means of moving my body!
