About

Born and raised in New York,

I come from a tight-knit Italian/Irish family of fervent travelers. When I was six months old, I boarded my first plane to St. Maarten – with my passport photo taken at only 2 months old! Growing up, our family of five went on two family vacations a year, typically sipping piña coladas in the Caribbean at Thanksgiving and traveling somewhere new in the summers. As a family, we agree ‘Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.’

Since 2015, I’ve chased my dreams and heart as I’ve moved around the United States: from New York to South Florida to Washington State to (now!) Boston. My experiences in moving and exploring different people and places has led to deep spiritual and personal growth. I work best outside my comfort zone and embrace all new experiences, places, and people with a full heart.

I launched my blog in 2015 when I first moved out of  New York and dove (literally) into the South Florida salt life. Since then, I have explored my affinity for both ocean and mountain adventures. When my heart guided me to the Pacific Northwest, I uncovered a deeper appreciation for the mountains and nature. Though I grew up traveling, I had only barely scratched the surface of mountain adventures. My family went on annual ski trips (on skis since age three, woo!) and always had an outdoor adventure on our vacations (white water rafting, ATVing, hiking, etc.), but my first camping trip wasn’t until 2014! Once in the Pacific Northwest, I discovered a deeper passion for camping, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, backcountry/inbounds skiing, and mountaineering.

My wanderlust, free spirit is fulfilled by exploring mountains and oceans near and far. Through these experiences, I create a deep connection with the world around me and myself. The people I meet and places I go inspire my creativity, which comes in the form of photos, stories, poems, paintings, mandalas, and more.

This site is a canvas for my heart as I share the things I’ve learned on my life journey and I’m so grateful you’re here.

I hope you find connection and inspiration by being here with me.

With love and gratitude always,
Kristen

Enjoy the Journey

With the future unknown
and the path unseen,
every day, month, and year
creates feelings of love, fear,
and everything in between.
In our hearts, we can choose love
by trusting our intuition
and guidance from above.
With love and gratitude always.
